8 Weeks

In honor of Whitlee turning 8 weeks old today, I’m sharing a progression picture.

She has on the same onesie in both pictures, newborn size. She was 3 1/2 weeks in the first picture and 8 weeks old today in the second. She has grown so much! 🙂

Two month update coming next week after the 25th!

  1. Wow, she has grown! It’s nice that our girls finally fit into nb clothes! I have a feeling Mackenzie is going to outgrow some of her nb onesies very soon!
Have you had any weird changes to eating habits with Whitlee? Mackenzie was taking almost 4oz every 3-4 hours the last week and now its 3oz right at every 3 hours if we’re lucky. We get one, maybe 2 four hour spurts overnight. I’m trying to go with it but it’s weird that we’re shortening times between feedings instead of increasing. I figure I’ll ask her pediatrician about it if it changes much more but just curious if anyone else is noticing changes like I am.

    • I think Whitlee is about to outgrow some of her newborn clothes too!

And yes, I feel like a week or two ago she did the same exact thing. I chalked it up to a growth spurt. We were around 3 oz every 3 hours then all the sudden she was fussing at 2 hours and 2.5 hours but wouldn’t eat more than a couple of ounces. Then she jumped up to 4 ounces and goes anywhere from 3 to 5 hours between eating. The 5 hour stretches have only happened once or twice so far though. I think it’s all fairly normal! 🙂 I hope so lol

      • Oh I am so glad you said that! Sounds like us pretty much. Tonight was weird. She ate 2oz at 5:00, 2oz at 6:30 and 3oz at 8:30. She’s currently out cold right now so I’m hoping for a 4 or 5 hour stretch! We’ve only had 2 5 hour stretches so far, hoping that starts increasing soon!

      • I hear ya! I spoke too soon on my last comment. She took another 2oz at 10:30 then screamed until midnight off and on when I finally got her to sleep.
